1972 Stingray $6500 Purchase Update
So a couple weeks back I posted about this $6500 car that my wife ended up buying after I promised to her I could get it running great and stopping again. Since the purchase the brakes have been gone through and the carb was cleaned and the water was removed from the gas tank and the old girl that had been setting for years is once again on the road. I am also happy to report this is a pretty much rust free car with zero rust or rot of any sort on the frame or bird cage. When I switched to an new hei tach drive distributor the tach is now working the all the other gauges appear to be now functions so is this something easy worth messing with our should I just replace them all with some auto meter gauges?
Thanks,
Patrick

did you mean non-function? not now funcion? a missing ground can make many not work.

Yes not working at all so ground might just be the issues. Also the guy we got it from started to install and radio so might be something unhooked behind.

Going by my research when looking for a C3 you could probably stick that car on ebay and make an easy 10k on top of what you paid if the paint is driver quality. Very nice find, makes you wonder if ebay prices are stupidly inflated.

Like these cars with the origi gauges, fixing a simple problem with aftermarket gauges seems hack-ish, others dont mind.

Gauges are pretty easy to figure out, go to the willcox website for trouble shooting tips. most of the time its grounds or bad senders.

Star of the day!
Ground could well be the issue for all but the oil pressure gauge, which should be operated by direct oil pressure through small, black plastic tube.
The clock - well if it worked that would be a surprise, ground or not.
Your 'phone' in selfie mode can help you see what's going on behind the center gauge cluster. You'll need to remove the right side dash (pretty easy) to get behind the gauge cluster. I believe Willcox was recommended, I'll second that.
