Is the diff already removed from the car? If not, note that the cover does not come off like other straight axle diffs. You're probably better off suctioning or siphoning the old gear oil out thru the fill hole. If I remember correctly, I used a turkey baster and a couple feet of clear tubing. (and don't forget to add the GM posi additive).
