I have a 1981 4 speed corvette. shifter most times will not go in reverse. replaced shifter reverse lockout t handle Part # 29748 that didn't do it . any suggestion? Thanks

Hi Ed. You need to put it into first gear before it will go into reverse, theres no synchro in reverse in muncies.Sometimes I put it in second then first then reverse.
If it doesnt go in at all, then your clutch needs adjusting

'81s had a Borg Warner ST10 not a muncie. Not sure if what you said still applies.
