Has any forum members sell a car on BAT? I've been following a few different cars and some of the sold prices seem pretty high.
The site appears to get lots of lookers and comments posted.

BaT works. There is no doubt. A reasonable reserve, clear pictures, a well written description and you’ll sell a car. The car doesn’t always sell in the actual auction but it sure gets some exposure. For $99 what do you have to lose?
This 289 Mustang i sold I thought would only bring $6k or so. Was pleasantly surprised:
A Porsche 930 I bought in 2012 and restored for 5 years got some serious looks however the auction results were disappointing. That was even after I had some friends in Portland represent it for me. They are the unofficial Kings of BaT.
After I built my C3 it beat out my 987 Porsche Franken-Boxster 3.4 I had built several years ago. I only allow myself 1 toy car to actually drive. The C3 took the prize so I again had my Portland friends try a BaT auction for me. The car didn’t quite make reserve but it generated a buyer who loves the car.
Thanks Kie, great information. You've had some really nice cars, love the Mustang. My buddy had a '67 Mustang 289 3 speed when we were in high school, that was a fun car to drive.
I've sold 1 car (my Ferrari 328 GTS) and 1 motorcycle (my Rickman Honda CR750) on BaT. I was very happy with the way they handle everything, and the selling format is awesome. It's much better than eBay, certainly more fun and educational.
I'm a fan of BaT, but not for Corvettes.......Vettes don't seem to do as well there for whatever reason.....I think Vette buyers have become so discriminating about the cars they want, they want to lay their hands and eyes on the car itself, not images on a screen. It's only a theory though.
BAT is an interesting concept, as the design is meant to generate and encourage as many comments as possible. Ive learned a lot about a couple exotics I didn't know that much about.
Its the exact opposite of some sites' sales rules, which often do not allow any or limited comments (like the CF, for instance). I see both sides.

I like reading the comments, more than just a bunch of GLWS's.
I've bid on a few cars on BaT with no luck. There always seems to be "that guy" who wants it worse than me. There an interesting '72 LT-1 with a day left on the auction with some stamp pad drama on BaT right now. I might give it a shot when it comes time to sell something interesting.

And some orange peel drama too. I see that the $25K bid was withdrawn. Hmmmmm.
