Sanity check please. Nasty exhaust leak on the driver's side. After a few days of PB Blast and carefulness I got the bolts off and removed the side pipe.
Never did one of these before. It looks like the old donut might have been sintered metal and is still jammed in the manifold. Can't really tell but I think so.
Any suggestions on removal if so? Just poking at it with a steel hook tells me it won't be fun. Just don't know if I'm looking at the manifold or a donut stuck inside.
I have a FelPro 60985 to replace it with and just jamming it in there as is doesn't seem quite right to me.
You probably know to snug the nuts evenly.....measure the gap as you torgue them down....may have to retorque in a hundred miles....I use antiseize on everything that has threads.
