While this may sound crazy I am curious if anyone has tried to use a portable Zen Cooling System or like product in your C3 as opposed to an A/C install on a non A/C car? I was recently reading about these and it dawned on me it may work for those times where I would want A/C in the car given they operate via a USB port. I am curious if anyone has any experience trying this out in your car?
Looking at the web site, this is an evaporative cooler, not to be confused with a real air conditioner. Evap coolers (for the home) are used in the desert southwest, where humidity can be in the single digits. They raise the humidity in the space they cool. We had two on our home in western Colorado and replaced them with central air. I would never go back.
i wonder why nobody makes a cup holder you can hang in the AC vent like phone-gps holders. you don't need to keep your phone cold while on a road trip...

Hmmm- I have a heated AND cooled cupholder in my car.....that's where I put my phone....
problem is if you don’t have a fresh air supply and ultimately an exit for the cooled humidified air it just recircs that humidified air and makes it more humid with less temp drop. To be effective it needs a way to pull in outside air and then vent the humidified air.
of course if it humid outside already it won’t work at all.
