Looks like a better value than the one at Gateway. At least this one has a spare tire carrier and much of the Powertrain mechanicals have been addressed recently. Seller isn’t afraid to comment on his birdcage condition so he’s aware that can be a go/no go for informed consumers.

Adam
I ran into a man this afternoon and like most of us on this forum, we got to talking cars. He has a 78 silver anniv. with 1200 miles on it for sale for 18K. I went to his house to look at it. The car looks new and original inside and out. He also has all the paperwork including the build sheet.
If you would be interested in something like that I can get you his phone number.

That would be my ideal C3...anyone wanna throw away 18k to a nice guy? lol

The vids on Gateway in Mi says he owns all the cars no consignment...guess not?
Some look super nice, others old restos, some are problems that got a fresh detail job underneath.
Bring someone with you that has really restored a car before....that can see past all the lipstick, has a good mech ear and eye for details, thats the tricky part lies.

Hello! I almost forgo to post back. I ended up buying my first C3 after all.

77' on a rebuilt L82. It's everything I was looking for. Im the 3rd owner. I'll post more pics as I take them, but here's some for starters. I'd like to thank everyone for the guidance leading up to the purchase. Incredibly helpful.

From here I will be making the obligatory jump from this board onto "tech / maintenance"... Already replaced the power steering pump, and I'm sure more to come!

A

Congrats!

Start a new thread to show off the pics of your new purchase. People will not be looking for them tacked on to the end of a “looking to buy” thread.
