Default hood weatherstrip

How does the weather strip attach to the hood? My current hood doesn't have any weather strip and today I will be getting a new L88 hood which I don't think has any weather strip either. I bought two of the hood weather strips and was wondering exactly where do they get mounted?

It attaches with weatherstrip adhesive, 3M is a good brand to use. The only weatherstrip on my L-88 hood is along the back edge to the cowl. Is your second weatherstrip the foam strip that goes on top of the radiator support?

no I meant I bought two of the hood weather strips. I wanted to know how it mounts to the underside of the hood and I was planning on using the 2nd piece to run along that section of fibreglass that goes from left to right when you have the hood open. I still have to do a leak test but I get some water on the passenger side floorboard and the "glovebox" area so im thinking it may have to do with the absence of the weather strip to a degree.

Goes like this. Comes down about a foot on each side.

I believe the primary reason for this weather strip is to keep hot air out of the wiper area, which will then travel down to your kick panel vents.
Water on the passenger floor sounds more like leaking heater hose or core, or possibly rust holes around the windshield frame.
