Default Quick Jack

As a forum subscriber I was very happy to get a promo from quick jack. I went to my Tampa Costco and purchased the last one at 899.00.
Now I can work underneath my 68 again.
Happy dance in progress.

I ordered mine right from Quickjack - they had a special with free shipping, right to my door for just under $1000. Love it. I see things under my cars that I haven't seen in years.... lol.

I used mine the other day. It took longer to set it up than to lift the car. Just need a new creeper and I will be set to go.

Follow the directions closely when you put it together and grease the big welded hinge points so it doesnt squeak or get rusty from the humidity. You are gonna LOVE it!!

I got the QJ5000. It is really all you need for a C-3.

highly suggest undo every single factory fitting they put together with Teflon tape.
and redo them with better sealant, like "Leak Lok Gold".

If you do not the Hydraulic fluid will wick/Leak thru the threads.
I did this and not 1 single drop of fluid escaped.

I hate to be a naysayer but from what I see from the pics the Quick Jack seriously limits the ability to access under the car from the sides. Am I missing something here?

I considered that also but if I had a serious job like pulling the trans, I'd use the quick jack and four jack stands.
Then I could remove the QJ if needed. A whole lot better than the old floor jack days.

I ordered some leak lock gold as 69 Vette recommended. Why is it suggested to seal all threads on a new device?
Thanks,
Marshal

Thanks Marshal. Is it the "SLX" or "EXT" 5000 model?
