I've had this one for over 3 years, and love it. However, as previously stated, it's HEAVY. My jack rarely leaves the concrete in my shop, so it's not a problem for me - but if you are going to have to lift it or roll it across gravel, then I'd recommend getting an aluminum one.
It should be a great jack ... same piece was uprated from 2.5 to 3 ton a while back ... I have the 2.5 ton steel low profile for about 4-5 years ... great ... but HEAVY.
Also have the 1.5 aluminum "race" jack with plate alum sides ... good BUT if jack goes crooked as it lifts, it WILL bend the plates ... HF replaced but it might've hurt someone.
Mark down one more for the low profile steel 3-ton jack from Harbor Freight.
I own it about a year now. Use it on the C3 and my Jeep Wrangler. Absolutely no complaints.
I got on sale for $79.99. A bargain in my book.
Ive had that model for somewhere between 8 to 10 years. I cant remember....but I can tell you its never given me a problem. As others have stated, its a little too fast on lowering (you learn to control it) and its heavy. But for the price, you simply cant go wrong.
