Needing a bit of insight on my 74 corvette. Thinking the wiring is off, but seeing what others can help me with. My brake light, taillight, and blinker all run off one bulb for the rear left and right lights. Is this a wiring issue?
Ok but the one bulb for the two outer lights control brake lights, blinkers and tail lights? Another question, if my bulbs look good, but both rear indicators light up and and don’t blink, could it still be a bad bulb even if they look fine?
Four lights. Outer ones have all red lenses and are stop, turn, and tail. Inner ones have white centers and are backup only. If everything lights up correctly, but nothing blinks/flashes, I'd look at the flasher first. You can easily test the brake/turn portion of the bulbs by turning the four-way flashers on. And with those off, pull the headlight switch. If they light, then both side bulbs are good.

the bulbs have 2 filaments inside them. Yes they can look good and be bad if you dont kjnow what you are looking at. Most individual light problems are bad grounds or bad connections. cleaning them usually helps. If the problem is across the board, (both sides and the front) then either the flasher unit is bad under the dash. If its just he rear not flashing then you may have the wrong bulbs or the bulbs were forced into the socket and are in incorrectly and are not aligning with the connections. I would take the flasher out and test it if the fronts dont work as well. If its just the rear then Take one bulb out and test it and look at the number and see if you have the correct bulbs.
PS
the filament that does the brake portion does the signal portion. The running lights are seperate
