Default Radiator overflow tank question...

In the late 77 I'm restoring it looks like the radiator overflow tank is shot. When I looked in parts catalogs it looks like a new tank top cap will be required - but none of the parts diagrams show what kind of tube/hose/? goes from the underside of the top down into the tank. Anyone know where I can buy the complete assembly - top and internal tube/hose assembly? Name of supplier company would be most helpful as none of the different catalogs seems to have a good exploded illustration of a late 77 tank/top/internal hose... Thanks.

I would think it is a simple cut to length section of vacuum hose thus not included with the caps.

Thank you! How would I find out which is the "in" that the overflow drains into and which is the "out" that
goes back to feed the radiator? Doesn't look like the connectors on the cap are marked. Thanks!

I dont have the cap to look at but there should be only one of the two connectors with a fitting under the cap that the hose attaches to. The other fitting will only have a connection on the outside of the cap.

Thank you! These link help a lot. However, in the exploded view of the tank, hoses and clamps - looking at clamp (part 243023) there appears to be a hose or tube going downwards in the tank and angling across the bottom of the tank. This is the item I'm not sure how to order....

Take a look at the tank photos you will see it is physically part of the tank.

Did you look at the second image in this link you provided? It shows the nipple that the hose attaches to and goes to the bottom of the tank. It is not a special piece of hose. You can buy it at any auto parts store.

I also have a late build 77. It was equipped with A/C and has the early style reservoir and cap (not a screw on style). The inner hose is original and heavy wall (white or clear) silicone hose. I taped it to the ruler because it does have a natural bend like the diagram shows, not a 90* but a gradual bend. It is 8 3/4" long. The inner hose is still very flexible after all these years.
You sure don't need 5' but it is 3/8" ID and 1/2" OD like this from amazon, so at least clear hose is available:
