Greetings...this is probably my 4th or 5th post in my search for a decent rubber bumper C3, and came across this. It obviously needs some interior love, which I don’t mind, as I totally redid the interior on an ‘84 C4 a few years back. Also appears to have a pretty bad respray, but other than those things to my untrained C3 eye, nothing stands out as a “run, don’t walk away” deal breaker. But then again, that’s why I’m asking here and have really appreciated the help I’ve gotten so far. Thank you all again! Jeff
Seems like way too much money for the condition. Floors are rusted by lower seat belt retractors. As you noted the paint is bad. Might be worth $4000 if they throw in the C3 go cart too!
Hmmm?
Running projects are certainly much better than non-running. And I like '76's.
Your assessment seems OK considering the limited photos. No pics of engine or underneath. Looks like the car may have been yellow before it was red. Paint is "shipping/storage container" quality. The non working options will eat up $2K in a heart beat. Deluxe interior is a plus but the driver's seat doesn't just have "a little bolster wear" it has a hole and new leather hides aren't cheap either.
I think it is a good candidate for your needs, if the buy in price is right. If not, keep looking, posting and asking questions here. If you really have a boner for this particular Corvette, I'm seeing a $5-6K car at the very most.
Greg
Thank you so much so far. Two things, there are quite a few engine and undercarriage pics if you view it on a laptop vs. a phone, and how can you tell it was yellow ( which I would have preferred!!). Thanks!!!

In several of the photo's you can see that the masking was poorly done, and the previous color Yellow can be seen. I like to key in on gaps when looking at Vettes. And while these aren't terrible. They certainly are not perfect. The paint job would concern me. It looks as though it was done by an 8 year old. You might be able to wet sand and color buff it to make it look ok, But that's alot of work for a car that is over priced by about 3500. IMHO.
That's a lot of lipstick on a pig if you want my opinion. Even at half the asking price I'd walk away. Unless you want to drive a beater Vette, the whole thing needs to be redone, and why pay up for a car that needs to be redone? Start with one that's priced for what it is.
Consider the lazy-*** crap paint job, the rust that's painted over, etc., etc. That's what you can see. What else is lying below the surface?
Thanks for all of the knowledgeable opinions on this one...even as a driving project I’m going to pass. I was able to zoom in on my laptop and it’s pretty much a mess as mentioned by everyone here. Jeff
