So I'm pretty new into this and have a couple questions. I'm about to get some hooker headers 2456 and the car is completely stock. Is there anything I should be on the lookout for? Any recommendations on exhaust kits to go on them?
thanks for the help everyone.
No emissions inspections in Ks. I lived in Salina for 24 years. Still have family there.
lots of threads on hooker sidelines. I love the look and sound. Fitment will likely require denting some popes for steering box and plug clearance.
Likely you will need to notch your stainless rocker panels In The front. Take your time and try to leave a bit on the front. If you take the back wheels off you can slide the rocker covers in from the back.
last thing. Very important, lol. Use anti sieze on the slip on pipes. You might never get them off again if u don’t.
I found used black ceramic coat headers and added SS pipes with Spiral baffle inserts. Stainless headers look better imo but relieving/denting stainless can be tough I’m told.

I have an idea of how I'm going to run an exhaust off the headers. Do you have a recommendation on what other type of headers would be good that's not that expensive? Anything is honestly better than what I've got on there.
Most ppl say that the stock drivetrain can handle 400-500 hp without slicks. Wheel hop breaks lots of stuff in the rear end. Manual is harder on rearend. Most aftermarket clutches handle that. Don’t get a centerforce clutch.
