My bother hit a speed bump too hard yesterday in his 69. When he parked, about 5 minutes later white smoke and liquid started coming out of the hose in the photos below. I live in a different state so I can't check it out.
Does anyone know what this hose is? It's located behind the front wheel on the passenger side. It might have been antifreeze coming out.
Also, the car wouldn't start after it sat for a bit.
Thanks.
I believe that is a heater hose. Pop the hood and see if it broke off the heater control valve, which is near the starter and has a vacuum line to it. The end of that hose appears wet and torn. The heater hose clamp and likely a chunk of rubber is still on the control valve.
As far as the "No Start", Maybe, just maybe, the coolant sprayed / drowned the solenoid causing an issue.

That all makes sense. Possibly the non-start could also be a vacuum issue related to the broken hose.
Thanks for the tips!!!
Don't taste the liquid. It may be sweet, but its highly toxic poison. dd is constantly telling people to put toxic chemicals (PS fluid, ATF, Oil, Glycol) in their mouth. Not a good idea!

Agreed. No antifreeze cocktail for me. I made sure that it was all cleaned up so that pets didn't get into it.
On my 69 BB, that would be the coolant overflow hose from my overflow tank mounted just under the lip of the pass fender.
It's not unusual for a hot car to puke a bit of coolant after it sits for a few minutes.
Won't start? Probably heat related. Vapor lock, flooded, etc.
If you do not have an overflow tank or expansion tank in your cooling system (just a radiator with a pressure cap), you will get some after-shut-down 'puking' if you have filled the radiator higher than the fill line embossed on the side tank. That type system needs residual air-space in the radiator to account for fluid expansion when it gets hot. If excess has been added, it will puke out what is does NOT need. (usually on shut-down)
How about the slick looking spot further towards the drivers side, under the car? Did he mention what that was? That looks a little concerning as well.
