My 68 console was junk, so I bought a new one from Wilcox. Well I riveted my front support plate too it. I Got everything ready to go. But for what ever reason, it is not lining up with the screw plates up front or in the rear by the E-brake. See the pics
The console need too forward approx 1in. And can’t see how it will do that.

My 68 console due to Bubba, after market parts and 50 years of age required I loosen EVERY faster from the rear of the emergency brake cover all the way up to the wiper switch. After a substantial amount of time of wiggling, jiggling and cussing I finally got every faster to catch and slowly and sequentially tightened everything down. When I was done I had the feeling I would sell the car before doing this again. The feeling has passed but not the memory.
