Default Decoding numbers '69 storage compartment

Hello CF Members,
I am in the process of restoring the three storage compartments on a 1969 350 ci / 350 Hp L-46 with air conditioning and M-21 close-range 4-speed. Found these numbers on the bottom of the passenger storage compartment that sits above the jack & jack handle storage compartment. Then found the letters L R stamped into the bottom of the retainer latch for the battery compartment and B 1 stamped onto the latch itself. Looked in the restoration and judging guiding book but did not see a decode or reference for these numbers so reaching out to you guys. Any clarification on the meaning of the numbers and letters are appreciated, especially the 272668 and whatever that symbol is just in front of the numbers. Thank you in advance.

Kevin

PJO,
Thank you for the quick response. I thought I had the 68 at the end of the 272668 figured out as 1968 but struggled with the rest of the numbers. Appreciate the help. Code falls in line with the build date of the car which is October 31, 1968.

Thanks,
Kevin

I looked at probably 50 latch cases looking for a B2.

I think I saw mostly B1-B5. Not a date. Probably a mold number.

I think LR is the manufacture logo for the company. B1 is most likely the companies internal coding

Hello Again Corvette Fans,
Day later and I have moved over to the other two storage compartments on the '69. Found the same letter "L R" stamp on the bottom of the passenger side jack storage compartment latch. Also located the letter "B" stamp on each of the riveted hold down hooks for the jack.

Anyone know who the manufacturer is that would have stamped "the letter "B" on these storage compartment parts?

Thanks once again. Kevin
