At this time I can not answer that question not sure if they the NCRS knows. My personal guess would be they came from the main plant. That there was a shortage of the standard fixed mast antenna. So the fastest fix was across the plant lot for parts that would work.

OK, now that I know this was something that came from the factory my next question is does anyone know of anyone who works to repair these mine has a bend about an inch or so off of the base that I would like to have fixed if possible.
Also want to say thanks to everyone who shared info on this subject

They were first seen approx VIN 7400 to 8400 which is March 24th to May 6th but where does your VIN fall in? It could also be assumed that there could be an intermix of both type during this build sequence. Also the PO could have replaced it.

Hi,
First I want to thank everyone who responded to my post sorry I haven't answered back been dealing with some personal issues.
According to the corvette birthday calendar my car was built on March 14th.
The person I purchased the car from was the second owner the car has just over 40 k miles and he said the antenna was on the car when he purchased it.
I'm leaving it on the car as is but would love to find a way to straighten it out if anyone has any idea how it might be repaired I would appreciate it.

Pat

If you could include a clear photo of the damaged area of the antenna, you would get some suggestions, I'm sure.

You are correct. But it has a rectangular tip so as to not confuse anyone.
