Found this yesterday at Hobby Lobby. Wife had some coupon so it was only $4.50. I'll fool with the spare first.
Naphtha was suggested as a cleaning agent so I'll try that too.

agree and mek or laquer thinner will also work...need strong solvent.
if i was to paint i may search for a smooth roller for ease of application

I tried about everything I had on the shelf including lacquer thinner, MEK, Acetone and Naphtha....Nothing worked as good as brake fluid. I know it sound odd but it works great. I can't take credit for the idea I read it on a hotrod forum.
