Default 350 engine block

I am looking at buying a 1969 convertible and it is currently running a 383. It comes with the original 350 engine block. I guess my question is, Is it worth taking the original block? I really don’t have anywhere to store it. Thanks

Yes. 69 can never be OE again without its OE motor.
If you have a 3 ft x 3 ft square outside ... bag & set it on an old tire.

I would take it. In that range of model years, I believe "matching numbers" still means a lot.

350, or 327? If the car is otherwise numbers matching I'd say keep it. If the tranny and other parts have been swapped then take it and sell it off. Good luck with your new 69.

take a look at cars out there with there original block then look at how many do not. you will find more do not have their born with engines. and the price reflects it. so if you have the born with block by all means keep it. it really does not take that much space in the grand scheme of things. I seen more people saving bigger things worth a whole lot less
