Default New Speakers for 78

So my 3/4 of my speakers have finally blown out on my 78. Could y'all link me some fairly priced new old stock speakers for a 78 or maybe the ones you have installed in your own car. I was getting information overload from google and am not trying to break the bank. Thanks!

onlinecarstereo.com has LOTS of choices for speakers. Choose ones that: (1) match in size (shape, mounting holes, depth) to the original speakers; (2) have the same impedance as the original speakers; and (3) are capable of handling the power the original stereo head unit was capable of providing. DO NOT purchase high wattage speakers, as they are very inefficient (but may have superb response) and when married with your radio head will have very little volume. (Power will be eaten up by the new speakers magnets, instead of making sound.)

I'm sure that speakers capable of less than 100Watts (each) would be fine for the stock radio unit. I don't know what the speaker impedance is; but my guess is 4 ohms per speaker. You need to determine this for sure, before you make your choice. If you have one good speaker left, you could use your ohmmeter to measure the speaker coil resistance. That is not a true measure of "impedance", but it will give you a good idea of whether the original speakers had impedance of 4 ohms, 8 ohms, or 10 ohms. 4 ohm speakers are what is generally installed in today's vehicles. The '68-77 C3's used 10 ohm speakers; but there was an entirely different design radio installed starting in 1978.
