Just received this, as i take it out of the box it comes a part... the irony was that i ordered it to replace my stock US made one that did the same thing... can’t make this stuff up!
There really needs to be a pinned thread with a list of the garbage repro parts to avoid. Would save a lot of people headache and money.
Corvette America doorpanels should be top of the list.
My 68 dash and lower dash from them had horrible fit and they had me send them back to re-work them... they fit better (made a thread about that), i also have their 69 door panels (going on my 68) and i’m pretty pleased on how those fit. Go figure.
eckler’s is whom i got the mirror from, they aslo cant do fiberglass worth $hit (they use a third party out of fl for their fiberglass)

25 years ago every now and then you would get a repro part that was ok, maybe not the best, but it would be ok.
Today it seems almost all the repro parts are cheap junk that the vendors are passing off on us because we NEED the part and therefore pay big $$ to get it.
It's a shame, but it will get worse.

yup in the late 90’s i was doing a couple first gen camaros and parts were iffy... i restored my 69 camaro for a second time in 2015 and man the parts were great now.
i cant speak for corvettes then and now but this reminds me of the late 90’s, except we pay three times as much because it says “corvette” on it... except the car isnt worth three time as much as a first gen camaro...
At least my 68 is 98% done so i wont have to deal with this none sense for much longer!
