Car Cover for 79 Stingray
I have a 79 Stingray and need some help finding a sturdy, outdoor car cover.
I have gone through many car covers and I haven't found one that is weather-proof and can hold up against rain and wind.
So, I thought I would ask the experts!
Thanks everyone.
(And yes, I know it should be in a garage... but that isn't an option right now)
The Two cover trick preserves the lower cover as the 'water proof layer' and the upper cover as the dust/sun/leaves/bird poop layer.
My vehicles are outside under very inclement conditions....both vehicles are in the 20+ year old range and look NEW.
I've been doing this for years.
When the upper cover gets disheveled I put a new one on the car (itself) and take the older lower one and put it on top...etc.
I buy them from Costco 6-10 at a time.
I have tried EVERY car cover out there including the stupid $200 units and nothing works as well as this system. This system works on No.VT as well as AZ. see below.
NEVER LET A CAR COVER FREEZE ONTO THE CAR..... FOR THAT KIND OF DUTY I PUT A QUILT UNDER THE COVERS, THEN A PLASTIC SHEET, THEN THE CAR COVERS.
Good luck.

C3s leak. Until you fix all of these issues yourself, assume that the T-Tops leak, the windshield leaks, and even the heater core behind the glovebox leaks (onto the carpet). All that moisture will be trapped in the car and ruin it. My 80 sat outside the PO's garage for all of 6 months. Covered, but not well. The interior, including the engine compartment, was a disaster. Mold on every surface. I had to throw away the carpet, and strip and clean everything else. It helped knock down the price I paid, but a pop-up garage would have been much cheaper than everything I had to replace.
If you do park it outside, even double covered as per @L-46man's excellent suggestion, consider leaving a dehumidifier inside the car, or at least a few containers of Damp-Rid. And if you have damp carpets now, just yank them out, especially on the passenger side.
