Default 1973 jack question..

Might have asked this in another thread,but....I have what I feel is the original jack from my 73 vette....
The jack is in good condition and works fine..My question really is the handle that comes with it..
The end of the lug wrench fits on the lug nuts of the original wheels....If you want to use that same lug wrench to jack up the car it does not fit on the end of the jack.....Its too small...
Was it like this from the factory ? Meaning, you would actually need a socket and a ratchet to jack up the car in case of a blow out ?

Or, maybe the lug wrench that came with the car when I bought it almost 20 years ago is the wrong one for the car ?

Reason I'm asking these questions is because I would like to sell the jack...I may have to describe to possible buyer that the lug wrench will fit the lug nuts but not the jack..

Sounds like a replacement jack handle. Jack nut is the same as a lug nut and an original handle will fit both.

That's a replacement jack of some sort. 4A would be January 74 but that is not an original GM jack, thanks for getting back to me Kevin
