Has anyone here changed their interior color partially? I have black interior and exterior. I see some black cars with red interior. I'm thinking of changing but not completely. I don't want to mess with the dash for sure. So a 2-tone interior.
Mine came from the factory all red. A PO painted and/or replaced everything to turn it black. I'm slowly turning it back to red, but leaving the black dash. I also painted the above-the-beltline pieces oyster white (SEM color coat vinyl dye), as I prefer that look. I'll go two-tone on the door panels, if I can figure out how to do it. The car is white, and white, black, and red go great together. YMMV with other colors.
When I replaced the carpets in my '75 white/saddle t-top some years ago, I switched the carpet color from saddle to black. I also installed black mats with saddle trim. Since the gauge cluster, console, steering wheel, etc. were black already, it looked as if it came that way. Not original, but I liked the two-tone look.
