Yeah, I think I'm on "C3 Corvette Owners" and "Budget C3 projects" groups. Used to be on a couple of C4 groups but I think I've left them or quit following them after I sold my LT4...

I picked up and dropped two different pages.......one page just had a bunch of fools rambling about **** they thought they knew and would use your own words against you, belittle you on the defensive, attack personally so that the fact that they knew not **** did not surface.......
I finally as of Feb 1st logged out of Facebook forever....after 12 f@%king years....it is a place you never knew you needed, until you didn't need it.
I have a lot better stuff to do these days as I get older.....listening to peoples irrational bullshit is not one of them.
I loved FB for the funnies and my family/old friends.......but it just isn't worth it anymore.......if I want to listen to people complain, I will hit the local pub.....
Anyway.....there were a couple of good pages.....feel them out and delete the ones with the dummies.

I agree with Jebby and brent. There are a few of our good members on some of them, but for the most part it a lot of posers. When guys post a cool pic of their car, but then they know nothing about their own vehicle when you ask a question trying to get some concrete answers... it is just a waste of time. I ended up deleting the two I joined a couple of months ago because it just filled my feed with mindless stuff.

But... that may be fine for some people, too.

I joined a couple C3 owners and C3 for sale groups there for a bit, and I ran into a bunch of idiots, frankly. Just seemed to congregate a group I wasn’t interested in listening to.

I;m on a few C3 pages although my job is building/prepping C5-7 race cars. I've owned my 69 L71 since 1977.

I agree with Jebby on this, and I quit Facebook years ago......social media is ridiculous, and as we know, everyone is a keyboard warrior tough guy. I like this Forum for its technical information, and technically this forum is "social media", but fortunately, for the most part, its people interested in a very specific thing.....a C3 Corvette. With that being said, I feel bad for new people or rookies who come on here looking for technical answers......there are so many on here with such different viewpoints of what the car's purpose is that you have to filter out much of it. Example - there are a number of guys on here that seem to think every C3 Corvette is owned for the purposes of "racing", whether on the track or on the street, when truth is, I bet most of the folks on here have no intent to race the car. In fact, alot of people who own these cars don't even drive them. And then there is the NCRS.

I have NO interest in racing my C3. I bought it to enjoy an older car that you simply do not see every day. I'm here on this forum to learn as much as I can about it and really like that I've never, ever been confronted about anything. Most of us here are laid back and of the same mindset from what I can gather. I used FB a lot for a few years - I moved to Hawaii and the 4/5 hour time difference made it hard to keep up with friends and family. FB helped bridge that gap. FB now is simply a way for someone to monitor who you talk to, what you say, and/or a political platform for people to spout off (which I cannot stand, btw). I did have to take a look at the wives and girlfriends but I don't have the perms to see much, and didn't really care enough to dig further.
I'm here for my car!
