Default Interior Replace/Restore Questions?

I will be restoring the deluxe leather interior in my 73 Coupe.
I've never been a fan of the wood grain trim on the doors and center console, and want to delete it and go with straight black.
I'm looking at leather seat covers and foam padding to replace the original, new door panels and dash pads.

1. Were the original seat covers in the deluxe leather interior all leather? I see some advertised as leather/vinyl.
2. were the door panels real leather?
3. Who makes top quality seat covers, door panels and dash pads, and who's fit the best?
4. When I remove the stick on wood trim on the center console is the standard trim on the console or is there something else I need once the stick on wood paneling is removed.
5. What is the best carpet and who makes the best kit?

Thanks in advance!

My 73 is original that I bought in Dec. 1972. The seats are leather except the sides and back. I replaced mine with new foam and seat covers from Willcox. The door panel was the same material as the dash and console with the cut pile carpet on the bottom. I liked the wood grain on mine, but had to replace it several years ago.
My original was a darker wood grain than some of the replacements you can buy. Mine looks about the same color as my original.
I made my own inserts from some walnut panel that I had.
I got my carpet from ACC auto custom carpet and it was a perfect fit. You just have to trim around the console and the door edge. Was not a problem, just be sure that you test fit around the console before you trim. Here are some photos of my restored interior.

Here is my interior after:

Thanks.
Your interior looks awesome.
I plan to keep my interior all original looking, except for the addition of a roll bar.
I've already purchased all new Ac/Delco gauges.

When you remove the woodgrain insert from the shifter plate, the original grained black surface will be there. All you need to do is remove the cement residue. Mask off and respray the black with a matt finish paint. I always use John Deere Blitz Black spray.
If you remove the door panel insert you can get a black 77 insert from the Corvette vendors and stick it in place.

The seat facings are leather, the rest is vinyl. The only C-3 with REAL LEATHER door panels is the 1982 CE.
Might I suggest brushed stainless steel (or alum) applique for the wood grain pieces. You can get that stuff readily. Cut and laminate.

My favorite of all time is the engine turned panels in a mid-year Trans-am.....tasty!

Good luck.

I have thought of this as an option and think it would look cool.
Thanks
