Default Spark plug shields on a ‘72 small block

I’ve got a strange one. I bought a set of NOS spark plug shields for my 350 as follows:

LH front : GM# 3919807 (this one has a hole in the center)
LH rear: GM# 3817657
RH FRONT: GM # 3817657
RH rear: GM# 3917664

Now, when my mechanic was installing them, he said the RH rear shield(pic below) won’t fit there . I need to order another 3919807 with the hole in the middle. I see it’s because the RH rear has that TCS sensor in the block; just like the LH front has the temperature sensor there. Does anyone know why some 350s need this change?

The shield in the photo is used for Right-front (plugs #2 & #4) AND Left-rear (plugs #5 & #7)....just as your parts list shows above. The AIM shows the layout drawing on UPC 6, Sheet B6.

The [radio interference] spark plug covers are shown under the Options section for the radio, UPC U69, Sheet A5. The 1972 C3 only received the LH-rear and RH-rear static covers.
