Default 73 seats

Hi, went to install my seats, and the floor only seems to have 3 holes on each side (driver and passenger) it has 2 holes for the front seat tracks but only one hole for the back side of the track, there are no outer back holes on either side, not sure if the body shop filled them in or if that's just how it is?? The rest of them seem to have that metal reinforcement plate, but there is no hole or plate on the outer rear (the side towards the door)

There are (should be) four holes. The seats on the 73 take four bolts. The hole you are looking for is up inside the frame rail, a triangular opening. See pic below! Lift up your carpet to see if the hole is there. If the hole isn't blocked try sticking a hole punch down through that rear hole on the seat track to see if it goes down through. Usually this nut falls off. You'll need to replace with a new bolt and nut. It's not an easy task, so that's probably why yours are missing. You can reach up underneath once you get the bolt down through, to start the nut... Have fun.

Ok,,, thanks! The car did not have anything inside when I got it back from paint, I did not see any holes in the floor, so they must have filled them!
so correct me if I am misunderstanding, this bolt is just a nut and bolt no plate like this;. https://www.corvettecentral.com/c3-6...te%26count%3d9

I use a socket (with nut & washer) placed on the end of a 4 or 5 inch extension bar to mate up with the bolt coming down from the seat. If you have trouble you can always use a piece of masking tape to keep everything together. Also you will need a magnetic pickup to retrieve the nut and washer if they fall into the channel. We must assume that Bubba figured three bolts would suffice, who knew Bubba had a degree in Engineering?

IIRC I don't think that CC plate was used in this location. This nut was welded up originally but like I said above it usually breaks off or rusts away. Nut and bolt will be fine.

Mine was a nut and bolt, but I don’t know if it was originally a nut welded to the frame. I has to use my Dremel because it would not
turn to remove. Same for both seats.

You might try locating the bolt hole from the bottom-up. If the floor pan was filled the hole in the frame still exists. Like the others said, it's inside a triangular part of the frame just ahead of the rear wheels. Find the hole and drill/poke upward to locate it inside.
