I used my QuickJack extensively on my AC project. I took it all apart to back the car out of the garage to run it a little to make sure the belts were good, etc.
Now that that project is done, I'm on to cleaning the engine bay and undercarriage, so I went to put the lifts under the car and make the hose connections only to find that I couldn’t push the hoses onto the power unit. I emailed QuickJack and they said to hold the “Down” button while connecting the hose. It worked like a champ!
Hopefully this might help someone with this issue down the road.......
And if you force it..it will leak a little fluid..so i hold my down button about 20 seconds to be sure..even without air in cylinder it will collapse..
another tip..they say you can but don’t stack blocks

That’s a good tip. I used to stack them, but after reading some of the other experiences here not any more.
Another useful little tidbit: from full down to all the way up (the locks secure on the second, or highest setting) the bumper of the car moves almost exactly 10 inches fore or aft depending on which direction you have the lifts facing.
One guess as to why I felt the need to measure......

Somebody unintentionally tested the structural integrity of the garage door?
