trying to locate a servo for my 81 vette AIM part number is 14020870 believe it operates the cruise control I have replaced almost every vacuum line on my vette and this is 40 years old now, I have googled it checked ebay and all my parts book from vette suppliers thanks for any help
It's located in the driver side fender, behind the windshield washer bottle and above the vapor can. You should see the speedo cable connected from the transmission and a shorter one connected from the transducer to the speedometer. I would check the continuity for all wires from the transducer to the controls and make sure the power cable is plugged into the fuse box. If you have the shop manual for the 81 there is a great section explaining all the connections, how to troubleshoot and adjust.
Good Luck.

For the servo I come up with a GM #25030983 part number (source 1953-1982 Corvette Pars And Illustration Catalog). The same servo was used 79-81 (2ND Design 1979) plastic back.
Before replacing servo do the following test, remove the vacuum hose from the servo and servo to carb linkage. Using a hand pump or other vacuum source apply 14 inches of vacuum to the servo. The vacuum should not leak down more than 5 inches of vacuum in one minute, anymore than 5 inches the servo would be considered defective.
If were talking about the same part. One that recently sold on ebay link. https://www.ebay.com/itm/1979-1980-1...p2047675.l2557
Good Luck!
