still looking for a good pic, here’s one at the end of the post looking down
it should float around in there so you should be able to move the lever more vertical. If the lever isn’t moving perhaps the lower bolt isn’t in correctly. try Removing the lower bolt and getting the shifter more vertical and see if it’s just the levers in the way.....you are on the right track though

I see the neutral gate tool in there, did you just rebuild it? Are the levers in correctly? If taking the lower bolt out and moving the shifter more vertical, maybe you had it mounted through the revers arm instead of the mounting tab......if not , Try pulling that tool out and it should line up in th e vertical position then see where those shift arms are...

Not mine but it shows the angle being less severe than yours
If no one posts a decent pic for you by tonight, I have my shifter on the shelf, I’ll pull it out and get some good ones for you. All my rebuild pics just show the levers, not it installed

I didnt rebuild the shifter, I just made the tool because im going from auto to manuell transmission.
Just did a mockup on the table...
You’ll be fine then. Good work on converting to a 4 speed. Keep us posted.
Engine and auto trans is out.
Soon the manual trans Will be installed.
Most boring thing with this swap was the pedal assembly. But it went pretty good
Im going to use a lakewood bellhousing, and of cause my adjustable pivot ball was to short. So a friend of mine made me a longer one.
