It would help narrow the field if you mentioned the year and what area that is coming from.

You're right. Sorry about that! It's a 1975. Wire is under dash slightly to driver side of car, close to centre console.

I wonder if they are part of the stock radio/stereo system?

Not sure, but its driving me crazy! For the life of me I cannot remember disconnecting it but I had all the dash and console out of the car for the automatic to 4 speed switch and this is the one thing I cant remember...

Miccara, I think it connects to the switch on your gas pedal that operates the cowl induction flapper.

Could be... but here's a pic of the wiring diagram (
http://repairs.willcoxcorvette...1975-trace-harness.png for a '75's hood air door and it's only 2 wires:
I didn't see anything else though that comes close - the radios all seem to use the gray/yellow/black combination.

Quite often the connector(s) were also used as a junction point-
Look the directional flasher- it just shows two wires- but there are three wires in the car.

Turns out it is the automatic transmission kick down switch. Plugs into switch at the top of the gas pedal. Also manages cowl flap.
