Default ‘77 mirror removal

After seeing the post by (sembiker) asking if glass has to be removed to tighten chrome mirrors, I want to ask same question about removing sport mirrors.
At some point someone had mounted mirrors with the wedge shaped gasket wrong and mirrors are almost touching window glass. With door panel off rear bolt is hidden behind glass, does someone have magical way of doing this without removing glass?

You may not have to remove the glass, but you will have to be able to lower it far enough to get it out of the way. Check the lower stops to see if you can lower them.
