Default Emergency hood release

Sometimes you come across something you just don’t want to throw away...well I had an old dishwasher part thought may come in handy one day....It did.
Parts are wearing on my old ‘77 and afraid one day hood release cable could break so came up with a plan. Something similar could work for you.

Couldn’t let other side lose out so wired it up with thin cable.

Room to mount along with original cable

Easy pull for each side

Should not get tangled in wiper arms

I did soemthing similar, with a cable running through an old piece of brake line tubing. Just reach up through the front valance, behind the headlights to pull the cable.

Good idea Ron! I've been thinking I should do something like this myself just in case.
You do know you have a Very Early 77 build?
Sometime between August 23 and September 7 1976 the Flint Engine Plant changed from Orange to Blue.
Keep it Orange!
