somebody who needs to fix his taillight panel may have a use for the last 3 or 4 inches of the body. Jersey to Ohio is a hike, but i will point it out to him. i assume it is in ohio? power cord reach the car? could he come with a saw and leave you a hundred to pay the scrap guy to take the rest? can you get a pic of the license plate area and other side of tail panel?

Damn, that's a nice looking bird cage!
Seriously, it doesn't look all that bad from what I can see. Usually we see complete bodies and interiors with rotten cages, but here we have a rotten body, no interior with what appears to be a decent cage. <humph>

Looks like the rear deck has a problem on the drivers side. A body just laying on uneven ground must be pretty out of shape after all those tears. Whats the other side look like ?
Who knows, there is a guy that came around that knew of it from the previous owner of the property. He might know something. It's not deep woods It's only about 30 ft to get it into the clear lawn. I'm going to look at it closer this afternoon.
The solid windshield surround (birdcage) is one of the weakest points on these years and if solid is easily worth $300. I know; I had to buy one.
And yes I may be interested in the tailight panel as derek mentioned.. Last 3-4 inches of the car, that's the easy way, or the rear bonding strip area if you know how to separate it. Mines pretty heavily cracked.
Close ups? Where in Ohio? Ooh ... got it, not far from Akron, 7 hours away.... hmmm....

It's in Hinckley, OH (Cleveland/Akron area) Going to get more pics today.
i saw that tail panel and i have seen Leigh's panel... kinda fun when a forgotten hulk gets to live on. that left B pillar looks missing, but the body itself looks salvageable but not worth the trouble. if somebody has a whole car with a birdcage way worse than this, i could see this being registered again. or is the whole left quarter missing?
