I am just in the midst of rewiring my 71 convertible. My wiring in general is in pretty good shape but the fuse panel is broken/parts missing. I have done some searching and have no problem finding replacements for 69 and older but haven't had any luck with 70 to about 75. A check on line with Lectric Limited and M& H proved negative. My next choice would be a used harness in hopes of salvaging the fuse block. Has anyone found a source for a new replacement???

I took my 1968 fuse block apart because of low voltage (4v to 8v) going to some components. The internal terminals were so corroded that I could not repair them. I probably could have found a decent fuse block at a Salvage yard and rebuilt my '68 block. However, In a box of misc. parts the previous owner left in the car I found a new complete dash/engine fuse block wiring harness, but no paperwork as to who manufactured it.
DG...most of the vendors carry the complete harness, but mine is in pretty good shape except for the fiber optics and the fuse block. No overheated wires corrosion etc... just waiting for a callback from Lectric Limited to see if they have one. Trying to avoid buying new.

Could you remove the front and buy a generic fuse block with the modern spade fuses and use that on top of the old case?
I added a second auxillary box next to mine and may go that route of making it bigger

My car has no A/C, Alarm or Power windows so it’s realitively simple. I am trying to keep it as original as possible. My existing fuse block is missing several “chunks” of plastic and there is no way I can re-use it. I may be going with your suggestion somewhere down the road if I run out of options. I still am checking with some area Corvette used parts suppliers.
Thanks for all the replies. Would be a no brainer to go and inspect it if it was nearby and see myself. I'll try to get a Chevy dealer to run the VIN and see what it says for service history. I'm suspicious because it's a 427 convertible that has been for sale for a while. Sales people say they don't know if the heads have been done either, or so they say. Equipped like this one, they're fairly rare. If I can't find out much more I'll probably pass on making the trip. I'd never buy a car sight unseen. By the way, I know Carfax only lists what has been reported to them, such as if there was an insurance claim for an accident, or a repair by a dealer, since most independent shops don't report (or owner maintained like I used to do) - hence the big holes in service history on some cars.
Call a Corvette salvage yard. For me I'd call J&D Corvette in Bellflower Ca because they are nearby. Many their cars are So Cal cars so rust/corrosion is usually not a problem.
I think a complete underdash wire harness, which will include a new fuse box, is just a little under $600 from Lectric Limited!
BTW. If you can find a good replacement fuse box, rewiring it into you existing harness is going to be a job!
UPDATE!!!!! This is quite the feel good story....for me....
A new dash harness from Lectric Limited...with shipping and taxes works out to just over $1000 in Canadian funds...great motivator for not buying new. Further as I said before mine is in pretty good shape, except for the broken fuse block. Anyway I happened to be looking for something and came across a large bag of stuff that I cleaned out of the interior when I got the car, three years ago. I found a pair of these....
I realized these were the parts broken off the fuse block....break out the JB Weld and some fiberglass mat and voila! Problem solved...
I am sure it’s stronger now than when it was new. Now....more money to spend on the shiny stuff....thanks to those that responded.
