Default Stingray Script Paint

Hi, I wanted to replace the fish emblems on the side of my C7 Stingray with the script from a C3. My wife bought me a couple off of eBay but a lot of the black outline paint has worn off.

Any ideas on what paint to use and how to go about painting such a small area? I’d sure appreciate any help you could offer.

I would spray the whole badge black and let the paint sit for an hour or so then use a razor blade to reveal the chrome. With a new blade and patience you get a really sharp transition line.

So you want to replace the stingray emblem with the word stingray, correct?
I was thinking of doing the exact opposite on my 74 Stingray, or adding the stingray emblem to the hood.
I do like the original script and the fun of this is, its your car, so I say "GO FOR IT".
My wife has detailed my emblems because she has a steady hand and did a fantastic job.
Good luck with this and share your results please.

Just a 2LT for me but I love it.

My current project. Having a ball with it.

Use satin black paint like Krylon or John Deere "Blitz Black" trim paint.

I'd spray the whole badge then wipe the raised area while wet to expose chrome

I agree with others above and have done the same......paint it all with black paint, and then come back right away with a rag / solvent like acetone or MEK, and wipe it off the chrome areas. It takes a little care, but it works.
