Default Nothing Free Left

I have gotten inquiries about items I was giving away and everything I had posted for free has been claimed or pitched now. I apologize if I missed anything or anyone in my communications.
Everything is gone and the basement is darn near empty. Again, if I missed you or you see something for free it is unlikely here any longer.
Best regards,
David Howard

Hello Derek, thanks for the positive thought.
I don't believe another Corvette is in my future my friend.
At this point I am pretty well downsized or as some would say right sized now.
Two Corvette's left in the stables now, the 2017 Stingray 2LT and the 1974 Convertible.
Down to four cars total in the family and that feels about right to me now.
Might even be just one car too many still, but time will tell me if that is true.
The 70/71 project was a fun one though, I have to be honest, and it is moving along pretty well now.
The 71 body yielded:
1) Patch panels for many.
2) Rear window storage tray. (I restored this).
3) Rear storage tray bracket assembly. (I am restoring this now).
4) Front wheel well quarter panels.
5) Rear wheel well quarter panels.
6) Rear light panel patch panels.
7) Metal bird cage patch panels.
8) Internal shift tunnel assembly patch panel.
9) Windshield reservoir bracket. (I restored this).
One of the most important elements of the give-away was I learned how to dissect the car with care.
I was also fulfilling a promise I made to the previous owner that offered the body to me for free with the purchase of the rolling chassis.
I promised to make the parts available to all of you, and that is exactly what I did.
As you all may already know, the parts that were removed from the 71 body were shipped or picked up by many of you at no cost to you.
Those that wanted parts shipped to them got those for the cost of shipping only.
It took me about three weeks to fulfill all the requests but thank goodness I got that done, and now that is done.
But that was the body. There is also the rolling chassis portion of the purchase and that is still ongoing.

Currently, the 1970 rolling chassis has yielded the following:
1) Four ralley wheels with old tires - sold.
2) A 3.36 rear differential - sold.
3) A pair of trailing arms - being disassembled into component parts, not yet restored.
4) A pair of upper control arms - being disassembled and restored.
5) A pair of lower control arms - being disassembled and restored.
6) A pair of front springs - disposed.
7) Front steering rod assembly - disassembled now, being rebuilt.
8) Strut rods, removed and disposed.
9) Lower shock mounts - removed, not yet restored.
10) Differential bracket - removed, not yet restored.
11) Differential cross member - removed and disposed.
12) Frame - in total restoration, upgrade, and improvement now.

So the purchase gave me a lot to work on and it has been, and continues to be, a lot of fun summer activity not to mention a source of constant sweating and weight loss. LOL.

All in all it has been fun for me but I had to turn the free parts link off now and use the time organizing, packing, and shipping these parts to actually work on this part of the program.

Carlisle is only four weeks away and the candle is burning, so back to work I go on the 70 chassis and parts.

Thanks to you all for participating, it has been a lot of fun.

If somebody wants to take the lead this year on the Pay-It-Forward posting that would be appreciated.
I won't be setting this up this year nor will I be able to participate.
I hope someone steps up to run it and best of success to you all.

Shame on me for not mentioning this to you, my apologies.
My wife told me I received a box and she put it in the garage for me and it is still sitting there in the alternator box taped up. Yes it is here and now I will open it up and check it out. Again my apologies for not mentioning it sooner, I feel bad about that.
Hopefully your daughter received the payment for the shipping in PayPal, please let me know if she did not.
Thank you again sir, much appreciated.

David, no need to apologize or feel bad at all. Just concerned that you may not have gotten it. Good Luck bud!
