Default T Tops decoded......

Somewhere I saw a date code breakdown as to what codes were built when.

I should have bookmarked it, but didn’t.

Have a set of M1131 tops and want to decode them before I put them up for sale.

Thanks folks.

M1131 were LOF laminated glass tops used from late 78 to 80. These are the tops that say "blue" on them and have a blue tint to the mirroring.
M92-A were LOF tempered glass tops offered in 81 and 82. The 92-A tops are silver or gray in color, but don't have a color listed on the glass.
M94-A were LOF tempered tops that came on 82 Collector Editions. The 94-A's have a bronze tint to the mirroring, and say "bronze" on them.
M95C were GM service replacement tops made by LOF. They were tempered glass and silver gray in color.
M89.6 were GM service replacement tops identical to the LOF M95C tops, but were made by PPG.
M125C were GM service replacement tops made by LOF with black glass, instead of the typical silver or blue.

The blue M1131 are the rarest OEM tops. They first became available in March 78 as part of the Pace Car edition, and then became a regular production option in May, at the end on Pace Car production. Between 78 and 80 there were about 41,000 M1131 tops installed on Corvettes, compared to about about 46,000 M92-A's on 81-82's. Since the M1131's used laminated glass, they were much more easily broken, so fewer seem to have survived.

TJ and CT are the date codes. TJ would be August (T) 1978 (J) and CT would be November (C) 1983 (T). The TJ was probably factory installed on an early 1979 Corvette, while the CT was likely purchased as a replacement unit for a broken one, in late 1983 or early 84.

that’s what I’m trying to determine.
singles seems to be $400-600.
mismatched dated pairs, 1000-1500

haven’t seen a date code matched set for quite awhile.

sold the car and haven’t used these in 10 years, as I knew they have a value and didnt want to mess them up.
