This is all new to me. Just joined forum yesterday. Have an 80. I am original owner. Replacing weatherstripping due to leaks around t-tops/ windshield etc. Windshield is replaced. Looking for any pictures re pillar post rubbers installation and caulking of chrome t-bar cover.
Welcome to the Corvette Forum. With 40 years of C3 experience under your belt, you can probably supply more useful info than whatever requests you may have.
Anyway, we try to share info as we can. On weatherstripping, it is important to 'dry fit' the seal on the part with painter's tape, then make some registration marks for proper alignment on seal and on part surface so that you can know exactly where corners, etc. need to be placed during the adhesive apply process. You may also wish to mask off areas at the edges of the seal to prevent excess adhesive getting on paint.
Whenever you are questioning yourself on how you should proceed, that is a good time to pose those questions to the Forum. Some posts provide better info than others; but everyone intends to provide useful info to you. It is up to you to select which info you wish to follow....so choose, "wisely".....
