Hi guys. Need advice on what I should do with the hood on my '70 vette project. See the pictures attached but I think at some point the hood was ripped off and someone put a hinge on the wrong way, fiber glassed over it, realized it was wrong, tried to cut it out and then just gave up. The fiberglass work is horrible.
Should I just get another hood off a parts car or try and get this one fixed?
Any help is appreciated. Thanks.
Just get another hood........68-72 base hoods can be bought for $200.....they are not worth a penny more.

You'll spend far more trying to fix that and it'll probably never be quite right
(Keep all the hardware from it until you're finished, sometimes you can find a hood but they kept the latches etc.)

I want to add that this is for an original used GM take off hood....which you will have a much easier time fitting than an aftermarket. I see them here all of the time for $200. It is the reason I kept mine as they are not worth much!
