- Taking a look into some c3's came accross this rebuilt and wanted to hear some thoughts on what was done to this car and is the price even close to worth it... 40k?!?!?! Thanks!!!
It appears the car has been listed there for 442 days. I think that's proof enough that it's not priced accurately. From what photos show, it looks very nice and the modifications are reversible to match the rest of the cleanup/restoration.
My opinion.....looks like it could be worth $40,000. Would need to see it in person. Everything looks very clean and new. It also looks stock. Even though it's a rest-mod, I assume this means it's not number's matching. Just as a data point. Friend of mine has two 1970 454 BB SS Chevelles. Paid $62,000 for one and $70,000 for the other. Very clean, mint cars, there is no proof that either is an original SS BB Chevelle, although they do look stock.....they were bought with the assumption that they are resto mods. In 1970, the SS BB Chevelle was listed as an option, so the VIN number doesn't indicate that a Chevelle came from the factory as a SS BB.

looks like a big block frame off restoration....didnt see anything that would be restomod...NO aluminum in the engine compartment, no suspension or tranny mods...Just needs the right buyer
That looks like a very clean big block car... I guess the 'restomod' statement is made due to the radiator and fans. Given the restoration and looks of that car I believe it is priced fairly and maybe even a tiny bit low..... I would not haggle the $40k (I would try, but would also feel $40k is fair) with them if it is what it appears to be.
