Default Question about Cowl induction wiring

When I got my 73, the wire for the Cowl induction had been cut, but I just put power to it and found out that it still works. I tried a number of times to find the other end that it should connect to, but I can’t locate it. Can someone give me an idea where the wire runs from the passenger compartment? Thanks

On the hood it connects to the solenoid at the back of the hood at the cowl door. Thee other end connects to the switch that is at the top of the gas peddle arm up under the dash. Switch color was a brown/tan on originals.

Yeah, I need to know where it runs between the gas pedal and the bottom of the hood. This is a fairly unmolested car, so I'm hoping I can find the other part of the wire near the hood and splice them back together.

2 pictures from my original 73 L82.
Next to the drivers side headlight actuator, the two wires from the hood join a bundle of wires (cable) via a balck connector. This cable runs along the drivers side panel to just under the power brake booster where it is attached to a pug that connects into a socket in the firewall. Just under the orangish wire in the other photo. I traced the cable the other way and could not see where it went thru the firewall on the passenger side if it did at all. I suggest getting a wiring diagram to see its place on the plug/socket going thru the firewall.

Perfect that is just what I needed. It's funny, I saw that plug the other day and wondered what it was for.
I appreciate the effort and excellent photography.

You are welcome. Once it is all connected, turn the key to the ON position (do not start the engine), and press the gas pedal to the floor. You should hear a "thunk" sound from the cowl flap area as it opens. Foot off the gas pedal and you will hear it again as it closes.

Nice to see another 73 being kept on the road. Enjoy the ride!
