Default Brake won't pump up

Have 69 Corvette manual brakes , replaced master cylinder calipers and new pad , hoses . I can't get a good brake pedal . I've checked the brake rod at piston looks to be good . Have no air anywhere .

Did you bench bleed the master cylinder before you installed it?

Tell us about the MC replacement. Where was it purchased from? Did you specify what yr you have or just general 68-82? Did you specify that you have manual brakes?

Lots and lots of MCs out there with different designs. Its imperative that the correct unit is purchased when it comes to the MC piston to brake pedal rod distance.

Again, did you bench bleed the master cylinder? If absolutely ALL of the air in the M/C system is not removed, you CAN NOT get a firm pedal. You can 'bench bleed' the M/C already installed in the car. Just remove the attached brake lines, install the little bleeder hoses and fittings, and put the end of the hoses into each side of the M/C wells.

Google is your 'friend', if this is new to you....

Make sure you bled everywhere also as there are 6 bleeders in total on the 4 calipers.
