While looking for something totally different I stumbled across a metal forming site that makes aluminum door panels and I always thought bead and pattern panel-work is pretty cool (retro street rod / salt flat racer kind of thing) Part way down the page is this
Which isn't identified but looks like a later (78+) vette door to me. Not sure why it has the bowtie but still kind of neat. Not my taste but for the right type of car it might be kind of cool
Aluminum would be a good base to then cover over with leather, but leaving them bare metal wouldn't be something I'd want to deal with. In the summer, those would be like scorching hot! Also, where's the pull handle (to close the door, not operate the latch)?
