Default Cell phone mounting

Hi guys,
Any ideas/pictures on what/how you might mount your cell phone. Just came back from a road trip where I needed to see map, change play lists etc. I’m thinking of a magnet somewhere that I can stick the phone if needed but at the same time keep a clean look. What a yall been doing with that phone enroute?
Thanks

Don't know if this helps at all (I don't use a cell) but I used a windshield mounted mirror setup to create a mount for my small GPS.

Super-glued the part that would be on the glass to the underside of the wiper switch plate, had to clean the paint off in that area, this is the mock-up. 4 years now and it's never come off yet

Here's the part from the mirror, ground down the ball end that would be attached to the mirror swivel to pop into the GPS holder

Works, up where it's visible and doesn't block any gauges

Originally I just snugged up the screw and I could loosen it and slip it off the mount when i wanted to but later on I drilled and epoxied two rare-earth magnets, one on the mount (you can see it in the first picture) and the other in the arm, that way they snap in place firmly but I can remove it without loosening the screw

With it removed you can't see the mount from outside the car to speak of

Anyway, something along these lines might be possible?

M

In my DD, I've got a mount that slips into the CD slot and there is a thumb screw that tightens it in place, I wonder if there could be one that could slip into the hvac slot under the wiper switch and work there for cell phones?

I use this one in my Vette and all my other vehicles. It suction cups right to the windshield. I will get a pic when I go back out and send it to you.

I have a magne mount that is double sided taped to the top of the dash so I can use my maps function. I have a second one buy my leg for my stereo remote and a third I just added below the ignition on the dash that I have my Sniper touch screen on. And they are all interchangeable so I can put my phone down low when Im concentrating on my tune and just using the phone for music

The adjustable console mount base from ProclipUSA looks like it would work. I use their vehicle specific mount in my daily driver.

I 3D printed a new shift pattern plate, and embeded some magnets into it, then I have a thin piece of steel that goes between the phone and the case. Here's a previous prototype from when I was experimenting with fonts. This exact pattern will only work with a 77-82.

here's a post from earlier this year that i replied too.

have just 3D printed better looking posts, a smaller height for the phone and a slightly taller for the note pad.
had to change the phone mount to a clothes peg style as i couldn't find the usual mount i use to fit the Samsung S10.

i also have a simple 12v to 5v 2amp power supply with the wire that comes out from under the console to keep it charged.
