Welcome to the Forum, and congratulations on your C3!
You will find lots of great members and helpful info in the C3 sections at https://www.corvetteforum.com/forums...s-1968-1982-5/.
They are probably better prepared there to answer restoration questions than in the New Member intros.
Best wishes with your efforts!
O.K., rule #1 -- well, not officially, but it kind of comes up a lot -- threads of this nature need a photo. Or 10...
Not to mention the rest of the story: color, engine (L82 by chance?), which trans (stick or auto), how many miles, how bad is the restoration needed?
The C3 is a very pretty car, even the later rubber bumper ones. I hope you love yours as much as I did mine back in the day.
What does "Restore" mean to you? Paint only, Engine & driveline? Body-off restoration, ?
How much work do you plan to do yourself (what are your 'true' skills and available tools, etc?)?
What's your budget?
What's your timeline?
I guess start with the end in mind and work backwards from there. That's a good place to start, however, a lot of owners (me included) tend to go overboard and it takes longer and costs more than initially budgeted.
I have a thread on here somewhere. I performed a 4 year body off completely blown apart rebuild of my 80 vette. So depending on what your car needs, and what your finances are like? Decide if you want a nice rebuilt 80 vette.
