Thinking about doing the interior and I started looking at the dash and have a couple of questions.
Lower dash pads. Minor differences between model years and I think I have a mix. This is an October '68 build, very early. I see a double row of stitching, more prominent on the driver's side. Neither side meets the console very well. I think the driver's side might be from a 70.
So I'm wondering if there are any particular 69E build snags anyone has come across, what kind of stitching (if any) would be correct, and what the hell is up with the way it meets the console? Any thoughts on sourcing replacements for dash pads, console parts, etc?
Your drivers side panel has been replaced. The stitching started in 1970 model year.
Your passenger side fit is normal. I am sure with a little adjustment on the dash panel and center console you can make it better, but I doubt it will ever be prefect.
