Default Upper control arm bumper

Replacing the rubber bumper which is under the upper control arm, into the frame. How in the heck do I get that thing in the hole. I contacted Van Steel, they said to twist it and the lip will catch. My guess is they have done this with the body off. I just cannot get enough leverage. Any recommendations?
Thanks Bill

I am assuming that the control arm is off the spindle. Put a little dishwashing soap on the nipple and hit it with a rubber or dead blow hammer. You could also put a few lines of dental floss on the nipple and pull it through. Or you could try doing both at the same time with the help of a friend or spouse. Jerry

Twisting worked for me. Try the soap.

My method:
oil or grease the hole
get some cotton string (nylon can cut the rubber),
run the string about 300 degrees around the rubber plug
feed the string through the frame hole
push the rubber plug hard against the frame hole
pull the string through and the rubber plug lip will go right in. you may need to twist the rubber plug afterwards to get the last bit in.

Works great for me!

I use a little white grease and if it won't twist in I'll wrap a string around it and pull that through the hole. Works like a charm

I didn’t need soap but twisting them in works perfectly. They took about 10 seconds to install.

Update, used a little grease and string around the nipple. A little twist and it popped right in. Thank you for the advise.
